Your opinion on pre-vintaged sneakers?
Now, sometimes Nike or Jordan release a retro shoe that has been “pre-vintaged”, meaning that they have done something to make it appear like it is the original that released back in ’79, ’82, or ’85. anyway, things they do include are
Yellowing/Dirtying of the out and midsole.
Pre creasing the shoe on the toe, wall, and ankle.
Fading the colors on the shoe
keep in mind that some of these things are reversible as wiping it off, but some things are permanent. now in your opinion, would you purchase these for that nostalgia or the bragging right of having the original shoe released in ’85? Or do you dislike the idea of releasing “clones” meant to deceive people?
wouldn’t the point be to have the feeling of originals?
If you personally like the vintage look than there’s nothing wrong with it but if you start saying they’re the originals than that’s wrong.
